It is interesting to note that the newly established Unashamedly Ethical Organization in the business sector promotes the following principles: to be entirely truthful; to be faithful to one’s family; to do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit but to look out for the interests of others; to refuse to elicit, accept or pay any bribes and to report those who do; to be a diligent employer and to pay one’s employees what is just and fair; to be a peacemaker; to do one’s work wholeheartedly; to submit to just and ethical governing authority and to invest generously in the broader community. One wonders whether they used the principles of Freemasonry as their basis.
An extract from a toast given to a newly installed WM at an installation banquet and which is applicable to us all, namely : Your contribution to Freemasonry will not be measured by your speeches or by your proficiency with the ritual or by the number of initiations or fraternal visits, but rather by the example you set in the way you live your life; by your attitude towards your brethren; by the amount of brotherly love and sympathy you display in all your dealings; by the atmosphere you create in the Lodge and by cultivating fellowship and friendship with your fellow man according to the Masonic principles of an unshakeable belief in the GAOTU, Truth, Honour and Justice
