Freemasons are not immune to life’s trials and tragedies. Our frequent referral to the Volume of the Sacred Law and the lessons contained in our rituals prepare us, in some measure, to cope with such events. We should therefore not be afraid of them as we have, on our Masonic journey, spiritually and intellectually contemplated these awful subjects and we should be prepared to deal with them when we physically encounter them.
